Que Sera, Sera

So, you may recall Doodle has separation anxiety issues. After the first decoy episode, she was especially concerned with being sure at all times that her guardian had not abandoned her. In an effort to spare my back by bowing over her brooder all the time, I decided to sing lull-a-byes to her, so that the constant sound of my voice would assure her that I had not gone.

I sang her several songs, but Que Sera, Sera was her favourite, and the one that would always evoke her tiny little purr that sounded like a cricket chirruping. It still calms her today, (yes, a whole month later - but her baby-turkey days are done, she is a turkey-child going on a turkey-teenager now...)
